Shauna Macdonald returns as Sarah, continuing the story of 2005’s horror thriller The Descent, in which a group of young women disappear during a caving trip in the Appalachian Mountains. Emerging from the cave system alone, distraught and covered in the blood of her missing companions, Sarah is incoherent and half-wild with fear. Sceptical about her account of events and convinced Sarah's psychosis hides far darker secrets, Sheriff Vaines (Gavan O’Herlihy) doesn’t waste time. Along with his partner Rios (Krysten Cummings), and their cave rescue team Dan (Douglas Hodge), Greg (Joshua Dallas), and Cath (Anna Skellern), Vaines forces Sarah back into the caves to help the rescuers find her friends.

I don't agree with it because, as I've said before, I think the UK ending was better. However, I really enjoyed the first film and hopefully, this one will entertain me as well.

Maybe it's just me, but doesn't the premise seem a bit hokey? Came from caves covered in blood....what do we do? Instead of arresting her or sending her home. Take her back down there and she agrees. WTH?!

Unfortunately, this movie looks less "dark" in a way. Like, I can see everything, all looks like it's filmed on a set, etc. I don't know if like this was the trailer before colorization effects hit and everything, but I hope they spruce up the filter tones a bit.

Not sure if I'll see this in theaters, because I'm happy with my UK ending.

Exactly. Plus how are they going to justify releasing this in the UK? Kinda invalidates the whole damn ending. It pisses me off to no end and i refuse to watch this movie. I don't care how good or bad it is.

I loved the first one (probably one of my favorite horror movie theater experiences), but I have zero desire to see this. I thought the first one wrapped itself pretty nicely.

What gets me is that they just totally ignore the original ending, and i'm sure that little cut of the original Descent's ending was solely or this purpose. I can say with great confidence i'm never seeing this movie.
