Need help from fellow computer nerds

I'm trying to find a video card for a motherboard about 10 years old. Have no idea what happened to the one that was in there.

I can't figure out what kind of slot this is(the black one)

Looks like an AGP slot to me. Seems identical to the one in the picture on the right here, which is identified as an 8X AGP slot: http://www.donutey.com/buildcomputer3.php

Same thing I have... sucks trying to upgrade a video card for old technology, but surprisingly (unlike PC3200 or older RAM), it's actually somewhat cheap still since it's not exactly ancient yet.

I've use 8x AGP cards for a while (ATI) and I like them. You should be able to get a good deal. Think about an older ATI All-In-Wonder card and then if you have access to splicing your TV cable over to your PC, you can watch TV on your PC! You should be able to get something decent on Ebay.
