Re: The Expendables
This is not a good movie. There are only three things it has going for it: Jason Statham destroying everything that moved, the ridiculous gun that Terry Crews had at the end, and Sylvester Stallone being able to shoot a handgun like it's an uzi. The CGI was horrible, the dialogue was horrible, and the acting was god awful. Normally I wouldn't care about the acting or dialogue in a movie like this but for whatever reason, Stallone felt like he had to have people talking way more than what was necessary. It also didn't help that half the cast couldn't speak English, including Stallone, so you could only make out every other word that anyone said.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: The Expendables
Well I've seen part of the Expendables. I get there at 11:40 for the 11:40 matinee. Sold me the ticket and the place is packed and everyone glued to the screen. I sit down and thinking to myself this is a lot of action 7 min into the movie. After another 15 minutes I realize what has happened and look down at my ticket-- 10:20. WTH? Who sells you a ticket for a movie that's already a hour in???
So I'm going back later to watch the first hour knowing what the end is.
Decent action flick (from what I saw). Pretty dark to make out most of the fighting sequences.Last edited by GAMEC0CK2002; 08-14-2010, 12:40 PM.Comment

Re: The Expendables
It's pretty good if you aren't trying to use your brain, not necessarily a bad thing.
Terry Crews is the man and nobody kicks *** like Statham. There's one scene where Statham and Jet Li double team this one guy and the finishing move seems like its from Mortal Kombat
Overall had low expectations which were exceeded, not a bad movie at all.Comment

Re: The Expendables
Of course. I was there for the 11:40 show. I just assumed that a ticket being sold to me was for that showing since that's when I got there. Therefore, I didn't pay attention to the ticket besides seeing Expendables and #9
Anywoo...watched the beginning. Not a bad flick, don't think it'll be worth an upcoming blu ray purchase though.Comment

Re: The Expendables
You should have gone back out and gotten a ticket for the next showing. Your receipt is time stamped, not much they could do.

Re: The Expendables
I talked to the manager and got a free ticket to the next showing. Only 5 min from my apt. so not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things.Comment
