Re: Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day
I enjoyed the movie, but it was just another movie to me. I never understood why everyone was so gaga over it. And being a film student, people used to say: "You haven't seen Boondock Saints? You, a film student, haven't seen it?"
So, I watched it and like I said, I liked it, but I don't understand what made it so amazing to watch. It was just another good movie."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Agreed. I didn't dislike it, but it wasn't amazing either. It was an average movie I thought.PS: You guys are great.

Take Sin City for example. All kinds of people loved that movie, as did all of my friends. I finally sat down to watch it about 2 years after it was released and I ended up turning it off in the middle.Comment

Probably. I thought Willem Dafoe was absolutely great, though. Really made him respect him much more as an actor. Any word if he is in the sequel?"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied.
