I guess Russell just burnt too many bridges on the jury. Natalie couldn't even hold a candle to him when it comes to game play. Nat just rode his coattails and made it to the end without really ever getting any blood on her hands. I suppose that is something to be commended as well.

On another note, I think Russell is a shoe-in for the next All Stars season. However, I don't think he will be as successful since everyone now knows his M.O.

He should be pissed as there were a **** ton of average players and then Russell. He was on such another level compared to the others that this is one of the rare times since I started watching Survivor that the winner should have been handed the check without a vote as there was nobody his equal. I also love these finale episodes when people get on their moral high horse and talk about how they got stabbed in the back when they were more then willing to do it themselves, and in a lot of cases they had. Honestly, the worst part of Survivor is always the people bitching about what happened to them when they were doing the same thing, it just irritates me to no end.

To the poster who mentioned Russell being on the Allstar edition but not being as successful, I agree 110%. Its like when Johnny Fairplay tried to come back and everyone wanted him out asap because they couldnt trust him, the same thing will happen to Russell and for nearly the same reasons. This was Russell's one and only chance at the million and the idiots on the jury screwed him over.

I would agree with all of that. For me, I don't even look forward to the last episode with the kind of anticipation that I do towards in-season episodes. The journey is always entertaining, and the end is always somewhat of a bore in comparison.

exactly, and that agenda with the final vote is the reason why the winners of Survivor are rarely the best players....You dang sure cant take a female with you to the finale

they need to cast less chicken ****s

Yep. They'll get past winner's and snakes out first. At least the Villain's team should be filled with snakes so, that should bode well for Russell.

I guess they'll have to start filming in another week or two. Any guesses on who some of the contestant's will be?

My initial guess is James (the gravedigger) and Rupert for the Hero's

and

Russell, Coach, Tyson and maybe Johnny Fairplay for the Villains.
Although, IIRC didn't Johnny kind of bow out of the Fan's vs. Fav's season?

Agree with both comments. I read that Erik got some digs in at Russell and Mick while saying Natalie played the best game. Is that guy ****ing dilusional? He must be high because the very reason Erik is sitting there is because Russell outsmarted, outwitted and outplayed him. I know its a staple of Survivor but they need to figure out a different way to vote for the champion. I assume they kinda realized that and thats why they have this fan favorite vote now but they have to do more because when the clear cut "winner" doesnt actually win because of some bs like tonight then there really is no point in watching the show in the first place. It will be nice to see Russell on the Allstar edition but I dont forsee him lasting long as they will get rid of him the first chance they get, not only will nobody trust him but his time on the show was so recent that there is no way they forget about him either.

I believe Heroes vs. Villains has already been shot. According to Wiki, that is. Also says that casting was done at the same time as Samoa's casting.

They asked Richard Hatch to come back, but a federal judge in Rhode Island denied his request to leave the country.

I dont want to see Rupert again, I liked the guy but hes played this enough. Johnny Fairplay did kinda bow out right at the start but that was because his wife was home and pregnant with his kid. I wouldnt mind James I suppose but, and this is only my opinion, I would love to have an entire cast of nothing but snakes as that could be extremely entertaining. Not a single good guy, just an entire cast of people who dont trust each other and are trying to screw each other over from the first episode. It wont happen as they have to have two sides to attract more people but I would love to see it personally, especially considering they are the only ones who would appreciate getting blind sided and wouldnt hold a grudge at the finale.

They showed Hatch in their little montage thing advertising season 20. Was that more a "look how far we've come" thing? Or is he in somehow?
