Is this a good (AMD) bare bones deal?

I don't mind the no OS as I'd want to add XP (hate Vista):

Low to middle end graphics, some video editing/rendering (nothing high end for now, like After Effects); low end (MVP05/08) to middle level gaming (I don't have time for much varying genre gaming, but might consider NBA2K9/10). I can do some basic hardware stuff, like adding components, etc.

Also, is that power supply enough?

I would want DDR3 memory and at least 800 and the dual cores aren't as fast as the core 2 duo

He's looking at a sub $300 computer, you aren't going to get DDR3 and a Core 2 Duo system for under $300.

          It's not a horrible price.

Yes its not horrible, but I would spend $100-200 more if you want to play NBA2k10
