    Laptop Advice

I want something that will be able to handle most flight simulators and do everything else for around $1000. Is that possible?

I will give you a bump by saying I don't know. I am looking at laptops too but it seems there are mediocre laptops in the 600-900 range then to get a good gaming laptop it will be well over 1500.

So I really don't have advice but once you find one let me know. I need something to play NBA 2k10.

If you watch and shop around, you should be able to find a laptop with a GeForce 9800M fall down to about that level. In fact, rechecking an email from a couple of weeks ago:

There are a couple of trade offs with this, the screen isn't the best and the Gateway brand has seen better days, but it's a lot of laptop for the price.
