Season finale? Meh. Very underwhelming. I agree with the above poster ont he continuity error with Barney driving. For a show that makes a killing on continuity, this is just weird. The Robin/Don thing was obvious, but I kind of expected Don at the end to barge in wheN Ted and Robin were close.

And with the 5th doppelganger being mentioned last episode and then again in this episode (and a failed 5th at that) was just lazy it seemed. So we are 5 seasons in, we haven't met the mother and we got zero clues in the last 4-6 episodes. C'mon guys.

Sure it doesn't explain the mother any better, but they didn't ignore family, which is what the show is truly about.

Your missing alot of points on this show.
The point wasnt we are waiting to see all 5 dopples before we have a baby.
The point was Lilly was not ready to have a baby so it was a built in excuse for her to not have a baby. Case in point at the end the dopple looked nothing like Barney but she was ready to have a kid so she wanted it to look like Barney. When the rest of them looked at the hot dog vendor he looked nothing like Barney.

I got the part about the built-in excuse (they even explained it during the show ), but I took it to apply to just the last doppelganger, not all five.

Not to mention having Barney being comfortable with driving is a huge continuity error.

Barney being unable to drive was in season 2 IIRC.

He was driving throughout season four. In the second to last episode he continually tries to get out of tickets.

I forget which season it was in as well, but he stole Ted's moving van and drove it using it as a way to hook up with women.


So the whole Barney not being able to drive gripe isn't legit.




Personally, I thought it was a good finale. We already knew we were getting a 6th season. So we couldn't expect too much. But now Robin's looking for a husband. Marshall and Lily are about to complete their storyline by having a kid. That's a lot for an episode.
