Oh - and did you see the easter egg in Cleveland Jr's room? It was r2-d2 with the afro like in those Family Guy episodes.

This show is starting to hit is stride. The part where the Bears were in the bed had me rolling.
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

I thought this was a pretty strong episode, some really great moments. It was a really short snippet in the episode but the part where Cleveland Jr. is pretending to be blind and he's bobbing his head around like he's Ray Charles in the kitchen before Cleveland comes in had me howling for some reason.

              Re: Cleveland Show

I like the show. my girl friend does not. She's feels its a little too racially charged. I just watched all the episodes on hulu this weekend and i got some pretty good laughs out of it. I know that there are a lot of white writers and actors on the show (heck Cleveland's voice actor is a white dude - I'll have to check the credits to see who else)

I think they evenly throw aroundthe non PC jokes but being that the show is based around a black family that's where most of the attention is.

As it goes with this kind of comedy you never know if it fuels the stereotypes that it pokes fun at or if it debunks them. I guess it all depends on who is watching it. i just hope that people don't take it too serisouly. This same internal struggle is what made Dave Chappelle stop making his show.

Having said that, there are some black jokes in the show that only people that have spent private time with black folks will get.

I'm just waiting on Al Sharpton to make his appearance.

I had to rewind and watch that like 5 times, I was laughing so hard. I love how he turns down the idea of free styling at the start and then just gets right into it.

I've been keeping up with this on Hulu. It seems to be getting a bit stronger each week. The last two episodes were pretty solid. I hope they find a way to work Robert back into the show on a consistent basis because that dude was hilarious.

I have to say this was the best episode of the season. The Auntie Momma storyline was hilarious! The Auntie Momma character is clearly a jab at the Madea movies.

yeah man, I got Family Guy quality laughs out of this one. The show surprised me from the get go, even though I didn't think it was that hilarious. They are really picking it up though.

                          - Lmfao @ them playing with the turkey at the dinner table. The sexual innuendo was ridiculous lol.

                          - Federline getting his car stolen and letting out his bird call and then "finding" his key behind his ear.

                          - Homelesses, Toothlesses

                          - Rallo throwing Cleveland's pop a knife and Jr. throwing a spoon.

                          - gargle my balls

                          - pretty much anytime Cleveland Jr. talks

This episode was hilarious. I like that this doesn't have all the random bull**** that Family Guy does.

That's the thing that makes this show so good IMO. Early on it seemed too much like a situation comedy put to animation but I think they did that for a purpose to get us to know the characters and "gasp" actually care about them a bit! That has been the ultimate downfall of Family Guy. Seth is now scrambling to give more depth to those characters but it can't be done because he's conditioned everyone to view those characters as shallow and with no meaning.

At least on American Dad and the Cleveland Show you have a definite feel for the characters and it makes the humor far richer and with more context then what you see on FG.

I know I'm super late. But, I just watched my first episode of The Cleveland Show on HULU. I thought it was hilarious.

It was the episode where Cleveland and Rilo (sp?) are competing for the mom.

Rilo- "Send a woman to do your dirty work. How do you sleep at night?"
Cleveland- "Butt naked next to yo Momma."

                              I was rollin.

That was a great episode. I was also rollin when Cleveland told Rallo that he hopes he likes having a pin in his leg for the rest of his life.
