Impressive that the kid who scored the TD has the presence of mind to wait for the ball to be spiked. He definitely knew the rules of the game.

Sucks to be the kid who spiked the ball. To me he gets a pass b/c it is only HS. But, that is a tough one to live down regardless.

The Lett incident was funnier for two reasons.
1) Because it was in the NFL
2) The priceless look on the face of Jerry Jones.

I doubt he thought the kid was actually going to spike the ball. And it's pretty common knowlede that you can return a field goal if you catch it in the air.

My thoughts exactly, we played on nicer fields and with more fans in pee wee football.
Are they playing during intermission of the local 5th grade soccer game?
I dont think anyone will really care about this game in about a week.
How did the coach not tell the 2 guys back to not toach the ball if the fg was missed?

Why would the coach have 2 guys back there anyway? The FG was for the win. Wouldn't you want to block it? I can understand maybe have one guy off the line as a spy, but having two kids playing ring around the goal post makes no sense.

These teams looked awful. I've seen intramural teams at UF that would slaughter these guys.

Yeah, the kid was definitely coming to wreck the player who spiked the ball if he didn't spike it in time. That would have been a very interesting play in itself.

With a lot of NFL teams returning missed field goals over the past few years, I'm surprised this kid didn't know the rules. Unless of course he doesn't watch the NFL.
