Well it's better then being told you can't participate like many of the American contests and such I see that are locked out to Canadian residents.

Yeah, I'm guessing it's a way around some laws that would otherwise make people in other countries ineligible.

I know there's Canadian laws about contests and raffles and such things, that require some element of skill be involved and this is the way around it. I assume Mexico has something similar.
