If you want my advice, if you can afford it, look to upgrade from 720 to 1080i. It will probably cost you a few extra hundred dollars, but the difference in clarity (with an HD receiver) is huge.
**edit**
After reviewing a few of the user reviews on Amazon, seems as if they can't tell the difference between a 1080 TV and this 720 TV.... -

Be sure to take it off the vivid/torch mode and lower the contrast. Also, vary your tv viewing for the first 100 hours ago.
This black friday, I'm looking to get a 720p Panny Plasma as well (probably 42 inches)
For whatever reason, retailers have 42 inch plasmas and lcds at very affordable prices ($600-750).Last edited by GAMEC0CK2002; 10-11-2009, 07:05 PM.Comment

Re: Anbody have this TV?
It will be a solid choice. A 720p Panny plasma will look as good, if not better than most 1080p LCD sets. Big reason is that plasmas have much better blacks and the colors look more natural.
