Anyone have one of those HD pocket ccamorders?
just curious if anyone has one and what they think about it. Seem to be quite a few and none of them seem perfect. But the Flip Ultra HD seems to get the best reviews that I have seen.My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: Anyone have one of those HD pocket ccamorders?
My brother has one, a flip ultra HD, he hasn't had it long but it did take some excellent video when he was on the field for pregame before the Bears-Steelers. It's not extremely intuitive to use, but it's ok after a few minutes. The only thing I found really odd was that the lens is completely exposed, there's no cover at all, maybe the glass covering the lens is hard enough not to scratch, but it still seems to me that a lens cover would have been a good idea for something designed to be put in your pocket. -

yeah, that is one of the complaints I heard about that one. If you crack the lens it can't be replaced. YOu have to buy a new camera. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

It seems like a pretty thick lens, I was thinking more about scratches than breakage. I would guess it's a decent mineral glass, a quick google found lots of worrying but no accounts of scratching.Comment

I think if I had one of these I would buy a felt bag for it or something. Something like what crown royal bottles come in, but smallerComment
