They would sell so many more if they were cheaper. I'll always stick with Apple though, I guess unless this one dies...then I'd be screwed. Until I saved enough money that is.

Re: New Macs today!
I'm definitely pulling the trigger on one of those 3.06 ghz 27" iMacs. I have a 15" Powerbook that served me well through all four years of college (never had one issue with it), but it's starting to show its age... I can't watch HD video without severe choppiness and audio/video mismatch.
The display is incredible: 2560 x 1440 resolution! Wow. Plus, the new Magic Mouse looks pretty f'n sweet.
Definitely excited to give this baby a whirl... I should have it ordered by next weekend.Ryan Spencer

Re: New Macs today!
I picked up a 3.06 ghz 27" iMac from Best Buy Saturday night and am loving it so far. The screen seems almost comically huge after using my 15" Powerbook as my main computer for the last 4+ years.
My dad had an extra Windows XP code laying around, so I should be able to install that tonight. Probably not something I'll use a whole lot as of now, but nice to have.
I'm going to try the new version of NeoOffice before I run out and buy Microsoft Office for Mac... sounds like it should work pretty well. My non-Intel Adobe CS2 programs seem to run pretty well via Rosetta, but hopefully I can get my work to provide me an upgrade to CS4.
I love how seamless Apple makes the transition from moving to a new computer as I was able to transfer everything over via firewire cable. Didn't have to enter any wireless settings, account settings, etc... it all was in place.
I love the new mouse, it's a million times better than the old Mighty Mouse. It took about 5 seconds to get used to, very intuitive and very slick.Ryan Spencer
