Creed Full Circle 10/27/09

The new album is really good and actually a bit of a departure from their older stuff. It is still heavy rock sounding, but not like where the first 3 albums sounded fairly similar to each other. As long as Stapp could stay sober, these guys could continue on. I guess the rest of the band will alternate with Alter Bridge when not working on Creed music. I hope neither band disbands as I also really like Alter Bridge a lot too.

I'll probably check out this album, but I really hope Alter Bridge isn't taking a backseat to this.

Never liked Alter Bridge - loved Creed, though.

I didn't think their 3 albums sounded anything alike, really. I actually thought they were all fairly different sounding.

I don't understand the hate this band gets - they've written some amazing rock music, and Tremonti is just flat out awesome.

I have been to over 100 concerts in my life time. And I will say this Creed was the best live band I have ever seen. They are amazing live, you can hate on Scott all you want, but he is a great entertainer. My second best concert was seeing Metallica and GNR. That was back stage too. Man, I seen things back there that a 14 year old boy should never see. Got to love having an older brother that played guitar and knew all the band personally.

I agree he is dick, but he can sing. But he is a douche, but in all honesty most lead singers are. He doesn't sound too great live any more. But when I saw them the first time he was amazing. I thought I was listening to tape.

yeah- Ive seen video, and its official- Stapp sounds like crap live now.
I did however like both Alter Bridge and Creed. Both debut albums were amazing.

Best live bands Ive seen are Kings of Leon and Tesla- and its those two by a longshot.

Tesla is definitely there for me too. Also, another good bad live was Def Leppard.

You didn't like Alter Bridge's Blackbird album? Man, that's one of my top albums of all time. I definitely hope AB doesn't take a backseat. I don't mind Creed, and will pick up this album, but i'm a bigger fan of Alter Bridge. Myles is miles and miles better than Stapp as a vocalist, and it's not even close. Plus, the rest of the guys, mainly Tremonti, seem to have more variety on AB's 2 efforts.

I just hope that both bands can survive because the new Creed album is fantastic. Plus Alter Bridge is great too so I would hate to see either band disband......but it doesn't help that some members are a part of both.

I don't really know how both bands can exist. Especially if they are making new CDS for both. And when will Mark ever not be on a tour? That would be crazy.

No - I think the singer sucks and ruins every song they've written. The music behind him is great, but the fact is that guy sings over every one of them and ruins it the second he opens his mouth for me. Would make a good instrumental album, though.

Yeah you can some times be too powerful. I remember Eddie and David getting into that a couple of times. Also, Brett Michaels and C.C. Journey too.

They're not. They should have a new album next Spring, but it's going to be of a kind of different style (not poppy). We'll see how it fares.
