I agree, lol. I watched a movie about this a long time ago and I think I'm convinced he committed suicide, but if I remember correctly, they did make some interesting arguments.

I have no idea. I rented it from blockbuster probably close to 10 years ago.

Edit...it wasn't really a "movie" but it was a documentary on his life.

The biggest piece of evidence for the "he was murdered" side is that he was injected with 3x the lethal dose of heroin before picking up a shotgun and emptying a shell into his head. According to medical experts, that amount of heroin should cause an immediate incapacitation.

And IIRC, someone had been trying to use his credit card shortly after his death, but stopped as soon as it became public he was dead.

Wasn't a rifle used as well? One that was supposedly awfully long for someone to shoot themselves with. I don't know honestly and don't really care. Much like his Grunge counterpart Layne Staley he dug his own grave and the quality music is the only thing I miss. I don't feel the least bit bad for people that do drugs the way alot of rock stars do them and I definately feel for any sorrow for someone selfish and ignorant enough to kill themselves.

He was a heroin addict.

Anyone who knows drug users knows that "lethal doses" of drugs aren't equal for everyone. It's not like he shot up, ran a marathon, wrote the great American novel, and built a birdhouse, he probably IVed, slowly moved to the otherside of the room and shot himself.

Since most people have drank, it'd be like comparing the alcohol that would kill a 16 year old girl who's never drank and the alcohol that would kill a 26 year old marine. Even by percentage, the marine will far outlast the girl.
