BTW, I love the new uniforms.

I want to see them more than for a few clips in the opening before I decide, but I've always got a soft spot in my heart for helmet numbers.

Did anyone else think they would see Riggins and Coach Taylor going to do something after they talked...i mean i thought we were gonna se Riggins going to the hood to play some ball with Vince and try to win him over to Coach to play like on The Longest Yard

I think Coach Taylor is going to use Riggins for more than that...and his role is going to be a big one, which is why they didn't show us what will happen. The series loves to do those teasers and cliffhangers.

I hope they can get Luke and Vince on the same page. When I saw Luke was going to East Dillion I didn't know what to think b/c him and Vince are both the best athletes, the leaders and play running back.

I'm assuming Luke moves to QB ...

and why isn't Landry getting snaps @ WR or DB ... he did good @ Dillion @ one point playing there.

She is one of those gals that could have you twisted tightly around any one of her fingers.

There will be some rocky moments with Luke and Vince but you know it will turn into a "Remember the Titans" moment.

Funny, I was wondering that too. I thought one might move to fullback ala Riggins and Smash. Problem is, they won't move Luke to fullback because he won't get enough snaps and their best player won't be utilized properly. They won't move Vince there because he's too scrawny for the position.

I'm thinking Vince will be the new QB at some point. Not Luke. Vince doesn't have a history as a football player so he could have some untapped potential (an arm that we don't know about, insane accuracy, great hands, etc.). He was signed on for his speed alone, but may have other skills we don't know about. I'm thinking he'll be a QB though (WR is my second choice) because I can't see a show about football go on without one of the main characters being a QB. Plus, he's already shown leadership abilities. I'm guessing Luke being the star of the Dillon Panthers means that he's pretty well scouted and either he flat out doesn't have the tools to be a QB or is better suited as a halfback.

Either way, I expect a battle at the position ala Saracen and McCoy before one finally switches positions (Again, probably Vince to either QB or WR).

It'd be nice to see him switch to defense just to have some main characters on that side of the ball. We had the guy who beat up Saracen and Landry's nerdy friend (1 episode) and Santiago for a little story arch.

i dont think there will be any reprecussions per say but Buddy has clearly show that he's tired of the "new" Dillon Panthers & misses the old day & even the day when Coach Taylor was there and he played a more intricate part w/ the team.

So now I think Riggs, Coach Taylor and the rest of the staff are going to be working hard then finally they'll put it together. The team will have financial backing from Buddy. And when they start winning then the ppl locally will join in b/c they still care about Coach Taylor b/c of his history w/ the town. And the principle of the school already looked like he was on board after Vince scored that TD last game.

But I still don't like the whole Luke and Vince bumping head.

My thoughts is that Matts grandma died, he no longer has to take care of her, julie doesn't want to hold him back from pursuing his art, he leaves for the art institute in chicago, end of character on show......i think something to that extent. hopefully the whole race problems yadayada issues get resolved when he is talking to both of them in the car.
