    TV Issue with Question

Ok, I was watching a show on my DVR tonight and when it ended I deleted it and went back to watching live programing. After a few minutes my TV went black and it almost appeared that the cable box was off even though it was still on. I changed channels and from there on out I got a neon green screen, I could see a picture in the background but nothing more. I use a HDMI switcher so I tried switching to a different device and turned on my PS3, same thing, neon green screen where I could see something in the background but nothing more. I finally turned the TV off and back on praying that would solve it, and somehow it did. What would have caused this problem? I looked online and basically came across a lot of postings about different internal parts blowing out but I would imagine if that was the case then it wouldnt have magically fixed itself so it must be something else. Any ideas? Im completely clueless here.

    Re: TV Issue with Question

It could be the DVR, I know some DVRs have problems syncing the signal back to certain brands of HDTVs. It could be your HDMI cable or your cable box just went. Had the same problem, can be easily solved. Although it is frustrating.

Thanks for the reply, it is a new DVR since I moved and they updated me with the newest DVR so I imagine it could be that. I thought of the HDMI cable as well since it happened when I switched the HDMI switcher over and turned on my PS3 with the same effect, neon green. Fortunately it hasnt happened since but if it happens again I will definitely check out the things you mentioned and see if I can narrow it down.
