Windows 7 problems

Anybody else having problems with Windows 7 ????? Me personally it works fine, however so far about 4 dozen of my co workers who either have AT&T DSL or Cricket mobile internet cant connect to the internet with Windows 7.

And when they called AT&T, they said AT&T isnt compatibilty with Windows 7 yet because Microsoft never gave them the driver codes for it.

Anybody else experienced this ?

No problems. Had it since release day (literally at midnight via digital download) and I love it. It runs so much smoother than Vista and I love the ability to scale back the UAC so it isn't as annoying.

Also helps that I got it for 30 bucks, legal.

To answer your question, though... my parents have AT&T DSL and have no problems, but they are also going through a router.

And the driver codes thing sounds like a lot of BS - have them try Vista drivers for the time being, pretty much anything with a Vista driver should work in 7.

Ok I will pass that along to my co workers because yesterday when I went to Walmart I seen 8 people in line for customer service returning brand new windows 7 PCs and laptops because it wouldnt work with their AT&T DSL modem.

It's one of the reasons why I never change operating systems until service pack 2 comes out.

ZERO issues. I think most errors are user errors, thats just me.

If AT&T requires software to load on the OS to configure/connect to their internet (like AOL), I can see why there would be an issue.

If it does not require software, there shouldn't be an issue. Different layers on the OSI model....

Same here. I've been running the retail version for about two months before it even came out (through my University). And every problem that I've had was because of my own errors.

I know you're not a developer, but you're thinking like one.

LOL. That's most likely because My job title is listed Tech Support Specialist at my full time job is in the tech-feild, and about 90% of my Trouble calls a day are user error. I do this everyday my freind.

Well, if you're a developer, no matter if the software is wrong or not... the user is more wrong.

I'm not a developer, but like I said, there is more user error then errors with the programs.
