I only watched a few minutes lat night. I didn't care for going back and forth from present day HD visuals to real war footage. I've studied the history of WW2 extensively so I wasn't getting much out of this.

I'll probably wait until its out as DVD set and pick it up.

I just hope it's something new and not footage that I have seen already.

I may be in the minority, but I'm interested to see how this 10 hour event is going to look in high definition and well as if it's new footage or just old footage remastered. I have always been a WWII junkie due to the fact I had a great Uncle serve in the Pacific as a fighter pilot, although he never really liked to talk about it. My Great Aunt would always show me pictures of him when I was younger. Also, on the other side of my family my Great Grandparents escaped Nazi Germany in 1935, before everything really went horribly wrong. Which essentially enabled me to be born America all these years later.

Even though I dont have the HD channel... love all this film in color.

In older film I always wondered what uniforms and landscapes looked like outside of the black/white

I think it's cool all the talent they got to do the voices for the different people's stories. I was shocked when I saw Steve Zahn was doing a voice of one of the soldiers, I mean that dude cracks me up in anything he's in. Very cool that he got involved in this. All the footage in color definetly makes it feel more real than just watching it in black & white. Superb so far...
