Superman Returns: The Bryan Singer Cut?

Just came across this site. I would love to have a new BD with all of the original scenes in it, including Superman's trip to Krypton.

Ran across this myself while perusing Rotten Tomatoes. I also want to see the Superman 2: The Richard Donner cut....I found it 1 time in BD format at Best Buy and passed, now I kick myself.

A co-worker of mine has the Donner cut of Part 2 and he said it was meant to be a lot darker. The mute Kryptonian 'Non' was actually supposed to be a psychopath and not some bumbling big idiot with extra strength.

I'd love for this story line to be redone.

Agreed.......SM2 is still one of my favorite sequels of all time, but always liked Donner's vision of what it "should" be.

I enjoyed Superman Returns so a Bryan Singer Cut would be great as I would like to really see the trip to krypton footage as well.

Any cut that can actually make that movie tolerable would be welcomed. That was one of the worst films I've seen(Superman Returns).
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Not yet Storm. That looked like a bad idea from the start though(GI Joe). Superman 2 is still one of my favs though. Don't know what happend with "returns" though. Didn't like the cast outside of Routh. Very dissapointed.

Casting and Singer's romanticizing of the character sort of sank the movie for me. Forget the woman's name that played Lois but she couldn't hold a candle to Margot Kidder. Routh was okay, but Christopher Reeve is damn near perfect as both Superman and Clark Kent. I like Kevin Spacey but Gene Hackman was a vastly superior Lex Luthor. Weird that Superman 1 & 2 were done so many years ago but seem so much more epic than Superman Returns - Donner did a great job mixing humor with side-stepping the normal Superman pitfalls (invulnerabilty, too pure, etc.)
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Even though I like Suprman Returns I still think it could have been better and I would have made changes in areas namely the suit which should have had brighter red and drop supes kid. Yeah G.I. Joe was pretty bad stay far away.

I really liked Routh as Superman/Clark Kent. The rest of the cast was kind of meh to me though. I still want to see Doomsday made into a trilogy.

The first 25-30 minutes of Returns had a feel consistent with Donner's original Superman from there on out it kinda misfired though there were some aspects that I liked. I'm sure a Singer Cut with all the deleted scenes would make the movie a lot more cohesive.

I'm with FT, with a few tweaks here and there (to modernize the story but not to change it significantly) the Doomsday storyline would make for a great trilogy especially a dark and gritty middle film with "the world without a Superman".

I enjoyed Superman Returns and I was disappointed to hear Bryan Singer won't get a chance to build on it. I think Singer was unfairly held responsible for the team that tried to make a Superman before him.
