    I have my Galaxy Nexus.

Initial impression is that it's huge . I have small hands so it's going to take some getting used to.

But man...this is a machine. It sure is sweet.

Stuck at work so I'm not sure I'll be able to get the Nexus until after work today...which might be too late. I called the local VZ store and they told me it's first come, first serve. They wouldn't hold one for me until later.

Yeah...the Verizon by me opens up at 10AM and there was a decent amount of people in there when I got there around 10:30.

It's not gonna be an iPhone thing where people are wrapped around corners on line but you may not get one where you're at if you have to wait until 5.

Maybe check a mall instead. Good luck.

It is big, but I'm getting used to it...It's not too big, just bigger than my last phone. Definitely light, and the plastic nature doesn't bug me.

I showed up at mine at 9:20 (they opened at 9) and took about 45 minutes to finally get done. I tend to think my Verizon store would have more, they didn't seem to be running out. When I left it wasn't quite as busy, but still busy. I bet this afternoon won't be quite that nuts for them.

I tend to think some Verizon store near you will have one, but that's just a guess.

I picked mine up at around 1 PM here, but it apparently was the last one they had. It is huge. I didn't think it was going to be this big. Granted, I have super huge hands, so I'm not angry about it.

Got mine around 1:30pm... I was able to run out for a little bit. The guy said they had a line of 30 people outside the door at 9am. Very painless transition from the RAZR to the Nexus. Swapped SIM cards and phone was active. I had to pay a $35 re-stocking fee on the RAZR though...oh well.

One disappointment: FB sync doesn't exist. Damn you Google and FB. I'm going to try SyncMyPix and FriendCaster.

I'm unlocking the bootloader when I get home (I guess that resets it to default while doing it), so I'm prepped for rooting and whatever else I'll want to do in the future....

Not messing with any builds now though, gonna roll with default for a long time I think.

This phone is awesome though. Night and day compared to my OG Droid. Everything's so snappy, smooth, awesome.

Now I just have to learn all the ins and outs of ICS, things are a bit different from Froyo.

I'm coming from a BB so this is a huge transition for me.
I'm really loving the multitasking pane and the fact that there are no physical home buttons the most.

Yeah, it's amazing...I'm so glad I waited, it's better for me than the Razr, just didn't like the bezel or screen on that....

Can we talk about unlocking the bootloader on os? If so, please let me know or just pm me. I'm interested in unlocking mine as well but would like some decent instructions.

It's completely legal, the bootloader isn't encrypted.

We may be just days away from the release of the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon, and I’m sure that many are starting to think about this whole bootloader unlocking process. As a Nexus device, the bootloader does not have to be bypassed or hacked like you have probably had to do... #Bootloader #GalaxyNexus

There's a link I found, though I haven't tried it yet (just leaving work in 5 mins or so, and I've only installed some of the stuff).

It's a bit to install, but I'd also like to learn android programming, so not too bad for me.

Thanks! I might have to give it a try this weekend (although I have way too many family parties already and my wife wants me to finish painting the study before Xmas... ). Those instructions don't look difficult at all. Like you said, might as well unlock it now since it does a factory reset. I'm not going to do anything to it at this point, but just want the option.

Comparing the Nexus and the RAZR in the limited time I've had both, I definitely like the Nexus better. Speed seems the same with both, but I actually like the little bit of extra thickness and weight that the Nexus has.
