    I have not thrown any custom roms on it yet. I have on my touchpad, so I'd be less worried about breaking my phone now, but haven't felt like messing with it.

    With 1 day on the new 4.0.4 the battery seems better, so I'm going to let that test for a week and see if it's good for me.

    I usually just charge at my desk at work anyways, so not really a big deal for me.

      I'm at a loss on where to put this, so I'll just post where it's relevant to my interests:

      There's a new Final Fantasy game coming to Android. And it's old-school style.

      <object id="vid_8722f57dc7b807e289d1e8699e5b035f" class="ign-videoplayer" data="http://oystatic.ignimgs.com/src/core/swf/IGNPlayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" height="293" width="468">

      </object>

      Yeah, that's an iPad, but it states pretty clearly that it's coming to other platforms as well.

      edit: I'm not sure that embed is working, so: http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/06/06...urder-gameplay

        So yeah, Apple filed another Patent lawsuit aiming at HTC and the soon to be released GSIII. Ugh.

          But, at this point who is surprised? Apple's lawyers must be millionaires by now.

              Well say what ya want too, I traded my iphone back for the SII the other day, plus got a $150 with the trade, I just so bored with the Iphone, The SII is still a top phone and one that I love. I looked at the HTC LTE yesterday and after holding it and playing with it I came away not so impressed. I know its weird, I know the EVO has a 4.7 inch screen, but for some reason the SII screen still looks bigger.

              I for one am also not to blown away with the New SIII coming out, the specs are not that far off from the SII, and I'm still very impressed with the SII screen almost a year later. Once and If ICS comes to sprints SII, I will be even more happy. Still think the SII is a great option. The screen is what I needed back, the Iphone little screen got bothersome. Not to mention the SII still has a great camera.

                  Don't focus on specs, instead, the real world usabilty. You're kidding yourself if you think the SIII isn't an upgrade over the SII. Hell, I would've given you my SII for your iPhone. I would've flipped it for cash and gotten the SIII.

                    If anyone wants to edit their lock screen with widgets, apps, and your own background, this is a great App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ZXRsb2NrZXIiXQ..

                    Also this app is great for making your own power board (buttons for brightness, wfi on/off, bluetooth, 3g-4g on/off etc) and can be paired beautifully with the lock screen app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...=search_result

                        The SGII is probably the best phone I have ever owned and I have an Iphone 4S for work. As great and wonderful as the SGII is, the SGIII is going to be that much better imo and worth an upgrade to get it. However, I will agree with you that the SGII is an excellent option, especially if someone didnt want to spent a whole lot of money on a phone, because with the SGII, you can get an excellent phone for little cash.

                          You say don't focus on specs, well that's all I have to focus on. I mean if you really think about it, the SIII is an upgrade over the SII but only in the screen and a faster processor, maybe slighty better camera. Its still a dual core, and the SII for Sprint still runs the Exynos processor which is one of the very best made by Samsung. Color me bad, but I still enjoy the shape of the SII over what I see from the the SIII. Even when comparing the SII next to the HTC EVO LTE, the SII still looks bigger screen wise and its smaller in reality, This is after comparing side by side in best buy, go figure.

                          Now I had every opportunity to get the SIII, I just held back for, reason being for me, its an LTE phone and there is no LTE with sprint as of right now, so I can wait if anything until that's up and running in full force.

                          Also what are meaning when you say real world usability? If you mean you can use it out of the country, I for one don't care. I don't leave the country. As far as I said spec wise, Not a huge difference. If the Galay SIII was truly a QC processor like they said it would be at first, I would have been all over it, but its not. So I will hold back for now. I still very much think the SII screen, its still beautiful and very satisfying to look at for me. The SII is Still super fast too.

                          What kinda upsets me is why does over seas get the QC when the states get the Dual Core, what gives? Again when I see a huge upgraded and QC phone with an a amazing battery, thats the phone I will be on top of.

                            The processor is a result of LTE compatibility. They're working on an LTE supported quad core but don't expect sooner than later.

                            The quad to dual core 'complaint' - and not singling you out - is a funny one. Looking at the One X outrage that was voiced when word was the new Evo had a dual core was more uninformed initial backlash than anything. The Evo / snapdragon chipset was shown to be more efficient and, overall, better than the latter when put through benchmark tests. More is not always better. At least presently.

                            And here is where 'real world usage,' the term, comes into play. Its not a matter of a world phone, but how the device performs in the real world, outside of benchmarks. If you had a dual and quad core phone in each hand, could you really tell the difference? Presently, most likely you couldn't.

                            That said, if you have an upgrade and are going from the II to the III, I think it seems like a worthy upgrade, just maybe not on the level of say the Evo 4G to the Evo LTE 4G. But the SGS II is still one bad mother, so I wouldn't blame someone for sitting on it while they wait for the next wave of devices.

                                Exactly. Currently, there is nothing, apps or software that is currently taking advantage of the quad core. Actually, i'm more excited about the 2gb of RAM. Multitasking should be great. I preordered at Best Buy and admittedly I'm having 2nd thoughts. My GSII is still a great phone and once source is released by Samsung, i'll be able to have just about everything that's on the SIII ported.
