You got lucky then, it's very Your Millage May Vary. Corporate policy is to not pricematch internet only retailers like amazon and newegg. That doesn't mean some managers won't do it to make the sale.

Yeah RR, most Best Buys won't even match Amazon. Only brick and mortar stores.

I've had 2 separate Best Buys offer to price match me with Amazon and one of my friends got a TV price matched with Amazon at another Best Buy. I've seen SlickDealers have success with it too.

Regardless, I guess it's best to call ahead and ask, which I did when I got my S3. They just told me that they'd match with Amazon itself but not with any of Amazon's vendors.

That's nuts. Unless they recently changed their policy that is what I knew. Maybe it has changed. I guess it won't hurt to ask!

When I got my new phone in December, Amazon was offering it for $99. When I asked Best Buy, they said their policy was that they wouldn't match online prices. Maybe the stores determine the policy.

I was reading a thread on xda discussing the $99 S3 amazon/BB pricematch and a user chimed in saying he worked at BB and his store does it all the time. Then he called the other local BB near him and they said they wouldn't.

Sounds like it's a store by store location. So RR, keep going to the one that works for sure.

Another thing about BB. They wouldn't even price match Radioshack when I bought my girl her SIII, because the local Radioshack did not have it in stock. BB has the WORST customer service I've seen of all the big stores, which is why they are shutting down locations.

I bought a washer/dryer from them for $1400. They took my money and scheduled the delivery. Day before the delivery I got a call saying they had mistakingly over-sold the item and mine, which I had paid for 2 weeks prior(they didn't show the first time they were scheduled) had been shipped to someone else. It took me 2 hours in the store to get them to switch it to a similar model by another brand. Then they tried to charge me for the difference in cost. I flipped out on them, and they finally agreed to just switch it due to their "inconveniencing" of me. Only after an additional hour of time with the store manager. I kept telling them to give me my money back, and they were like refusing and stalling.

That's actually a common practice for most Best Buys; They will call a store to verify stock before they price match. If you can't leave and buy the item elsewhere, there is no point to price matching since they have an advantage at that current moment.

I am pretty sure that is a detailed procedure since I've seen a few BB's in NYC and Jersey do the same thing.

What do you guys think of the Razr Maxx? Verizon is actually giving me one to replace my piece of garbage Nexus.

They tried to give me a Thunderbolt, but I reminded them I have been a customer for over 10 years and deserve a little better than that.

I was a little too slow on the draw in cancelling that Galaxy S3 online order - I think they must have had it shipped out within 3 hours of me placing the order. But they did free overnight shipping and I got the phone late yesterday. Got it activated to my account today and I'm in love already.

I have had my GS3 for 2 weeks now and love it... I actually dont mind touchwiz, I like it better than Sense.

The Razr Maxx is pretty good, my buddy let me play around with his for about an hour and I liked it.

My HTC has a shattered screen now. I've had it almost two years and it's time to move on. I'm really interested in a lot of the new Samsung phones.

I really liked my HTC Inspire 4G (AT&T version). I wish I had Verizon, because I want a Razr, but I'm on my parents contract to make things a lot cheaper.

lol - Thunderbolt is a very old phone. Thats down right wrong for them to offer that to you.

What wrong with your Nexus? I'd still go nexus if I had a choice, just for the unlocking, and rom capabilities and the community.

That being said, the Razr Maxx is a very nice phone, great battery life, pretty screen. However, moto has the locked bootloader, so updates will be slow, and if you want to root and get a custom rom its not as easy (if not impossible).
