Alright I did some digging and found out it has to do with Emergency Contact Group on the G2. It also mentions something about disabling 2-step authentication but I can't seem to find this option?

EDIT: So I found out 2-step Authentication has to happen via a computer. I never had it set up, so I set it up and now my contacts are syncing. Supposedly this is google's new way to help keep people's stuff safe

I came from 7 years of iPhone being my only smart phone and I love the Note 4. It took a bit to get used to some things, I am still figuring some out, but overall I like it a lot better than my iphone. Could be because it's something different, or I just think it's a better phone.

TouchWiz is a little laggy at time, but I went with Nova Launcher and it's smooth as butter.

After you switched did you have trouble getting texts from people in your contact list that have iphones (imessages)? Mine come through sporadically.

I highly recommend the Textra app for your texting needs. It does notifications especially and has a great, clean look.

I tried Textra for awhile and it did group texting horribly. Not sure if they fixed it, I use Google Hangouts now.

I got forced to switch to Textra once GoSMS changed their app/options a couple weeks ago to no longer allow "list view" instead of "bubbles" for text conversations. It's nice. Faster than GoSMS definitely, but I really miss the list view for convos. I can't stand bubbles.

I am so heated right now! Bought the Galaxy Note 4 on Oct 22, I unplugged it about 5:30 this morning and before 7:30 it was down to 54% on the battery. All i had done was text my girl, she text me back. Charged it for a a little while at work in my car not more than an hour and it went to 87. By the time I had gotten home it was down to around 30%.

I get home and call T-Mobile and talked to tech support. He told me to take it to a store and that the phone should not loose that much on the battery that fast. He told me I wouldn't get charged a stocking fee and if the store didn't have one Customer care would send me one.

Well I get to the store and of course they didn't have one, also I was actually one day out of the 14 day grace period. The girl at the store told me to call customer service and get them to send me a phone whenever they got them in stock. Said it would be a new one and I wouldn't have to pay anything.

I get home to call customer service and she told me that since I was one day out of my grace period there was nothing they could do and the store would have to handle it. Said only thing they can do is use my warranty and send me a refurbished freaking phone!

That's exactly what it sounds like. Unfortunately have to monitor that thing on Android.

It did like normal today...not sure about a Rogue App...haven't downloaded anything since last week maybe longer, don't even remember. I'll see how it goes but really glad I didn't have the problem today. Right now i'm going on 13 hours at 51%

Do you guys have a way (or an app?) that shows you what you've installed on your phone, sorted by most recent?

I want to look at my most recently installed apps to see if deleting them will increase battery life. Haven't been terribly thrilled with things since my replacement phone came in the mail in August. And in the last few days especially, I've experience major loss without really doing anything.

If I had/have a rogue app this would really be helpful in seeing what I need to get rid of. I don't download a lot but don't really remember what I have downloaded if that makes any since. Just do it may try the app and delete it. Lol

not the direct answer to your question, but the Greenify app will help you find out whats running in the background and shut it off.

I have GSam and Wakelock but I have to admit that I don't really know how to decipher the more complex things.

I'll try Greenify.

EDIT: Just DLed Greenfiy. So whatever's running I can make it "hibernate" by forcing it to stop? And it doesn't run after I add it to hibernation unless I want it to? Not sure what the best way to use this is. If I hibernate FB Messenger, for example, it won't show me new messages when I get them?

Decided to drop $4 on the fully featured Nova Launcher and wow, what a great purchase. The gestures alone are some of the greatest "quick actions" I've had on a phone. I'm not even sure how I did without them previously. Lol.

What I have customized thus far:

Swipe up one finger - camera
Swipe up two fingers - photo gallery
Swipe down one finger - flashlight
Swipe down two fingers - Smart Remote
Rotate two fingers counter clockwise - Google Play Music
Rotate two fingers clockwise - ESPN Radio
Pinch in - Flipboard
Pinch out - Google Play Books
Click home button (on home screen) - S Note
