Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
My Google Nexus One is coming in on Monday (yes I know it's discontinued, but it has pretty much everything I wanted in a phone)... Any good websites that has a list of the essential apps? The phone is rooted and flashed with the CyanogenMod 6.0.Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
After I just praised the hell out of thr Fascinate I ended up returning it. I hardly used it for voice the first couple days. Then last night I noticed an echoing that sounding like a transformer. I figured it was nothing. Today I tried to talk to my mom, them my sister and I could barely hold a conversation. The echoing and feedback was terrible. I don't get a great signal where I live anyway. So it had to go back. Other than call quality its a good phone.
Now I wait for the X to get here.Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
So, my contract is up for renewal and I will probably jump off the Blackberry boat into the Android market. What are good phones for Verizon?

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
For the Droid users out there, are you able to see the "New Posts" option on your browser for OS?
Also, are most of you using the TapaTalk app?

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
I have one too. Just got it about a week ago. There was a bit of an adjustment coming from a Blackberry and never having owned a touchscreen device, but now I am loving it. I'm rooted, skinned, and have a ton of apps. Still doing some tweaks trying to optimize the battery life, which is worse than I expected.

Art, you may want to double check to see what you have OFF, cause stuff is always running in the background. Also download "Advance Task Killer"Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
I have both ATK and Juice Defender. I think I'm just that much of a poweruser, constantly doing multiple things on my phone. I even needed multiple spare batteries on my Blackberry, so I already bought some online for the EVO.
Still going to try to find the right combination of kernel+ROM that is the most efficient and smooth.

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Installed juice defender. Let's see how it works as I am on a FULL Charge. Also, is is it the free tapatalk what people use to post on OS from their phones, or is the paid version.
Also do I have to enable anything in my OS profile to us tapatalkComment
