    Re: "Man vs Food"

question for you Pittsburgh area guys out there:

I've seen those sandwiches on a couple of shows with the meat, fried, tomato, cole slaw, etc

My question is, is that cole slaw like real cole slaw or is it pretty much lettuce? It looks like lettuce. I'm originally from Alabama and our cole slaw looks nothing like that stuff on the sandwiches. I hate cole slaw so I was hoping it was pretty much just lettuce.

Their cole slaw is more vinegar base, not mayo.

Exactly. It's almost more like sauerkraut. I think it's a polish type of slaw.

Oh, and they're Primanti's sandwiches, and they're actually very good. The slaw is sort of sweet and goes very well with the rest of the sandwich. You just have to make sure you get something with enough meat that the rest of the ingredients (think bread, fries, slaw) don't drown out the rest of the taste.

Hahah, you were there too? I didn't get to make it over but practically all my friends were going nuts about how Man Vs Food was at the grease trucks.

He did go to Boston and do a Burger challange against some fat guy at a burger joint in Brighton. I think it was called Eagle's or something like that.
