Looks good. Would be better if we had someone in place of Gere but I can't think of who would fit better right now.

Love Cheadle, Hawke, and Snipes. I haven't seen Snipes in a while.

I better hear the song Brooklyn's Finest with Jay n Biggie during the movie, I'm sure it's included.

That's the first thing that came to my mind when I seen the thread title was that song. They'll probably use it on a TV ad for the movie.

After checking Wikipedia for Nino Brown I have to go and rent New Jack City now lol. I had to Wiki it because I heard that name in a lot of the songs I listen to so I figured he was some big time drug dealer back in the day. Looks like I was kind of right.

Yeah, it came out a year before I was born. It sounds like my kind of movie. Drug dealing, killing, etc.

Amen. Cheadle's role in this movie reminds of Ice-Tee's in NJC.

Why a sequel was never made baffles me. NJC2: Son of Nino - starring Omar Epps - should've happened over a decade ago.

It's not bad(7/10). It holds your interest but I don't think it's anything spectacular. I think it could have been a better movie if they cut off one of the 3 cop storylines and stuck with just two(Preferably Gere and Cheadle). It's not that the 3rd(Hawke) isn't interesting, I just think they could have done more with existing plots and character development by subtracting one of the other plot lines. It's worth a rental
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.
