I just got an HDTV, and I took the HDMI cable, put it in the back of the PS3, and then put it in my HDMI1 slot located in the back of my TV.
I then took my AV cables, you know, the old school ones that are Red, Yellow, and White, and then ran those from my PS3 to the back of the TV in all of the varying slotes available, trying to figure out which slots on the back of the TV they should go in.
On the remote, I hit the AV button, heck, I was hitting the HDMI button too, to make sure it stayed on HDMI1.
After finding that none of this was working, and that "NO SIGNAL!" was displaying on the TV, I decided to blow an hour or so searching the forums and reading.
I searched under "yellow cable", and then I searched under "NO SIGNAL", & then took what little bit I learned and went back to the PS3 and yanked out the red and yellow cable from the back of the tv so that now there was no red, yellow or white cable back there - just the HDMI cable is hooked up. I turned the TV on and still got NO SIGNAL.
Can someone direct me better? If not, I'm pretty much am going to be stuck with another useless showing of Carrie Underwood's Christmas Concert in HD and me totally be emasculated if I have to sit through that again. I'm a man, darn it, and a man's gotta play his vee-oh-gameths...:O).
Thanks in advance.
