Steve Czaban show on Fox Sports Radio cancelled.

Disappointing news to find out this show is being cancelled (on good terms I guess).

His local show will continue, but to anyone who listened to his morning show on FSR is out of luck.

Too bad, I guess it's Mike and Mike for now...

To all of my listeners at Fox Sports Radio, I wanted to let you know that come the end of the month I will be parting on good terms with the network. I have had a great 7 year run and appreciate the opportunity to have been such a part of everyone's radio life.

And yeah, I've broken down and actually started a Facebook page where I will live and breathe and update from time to time. ("Steve's current mood is 'Grumpy.'")

To Scott and Solly, my faithful radio warriors, it has been a distinct privilege to work with you guys for all these years. I will have you on any radio show I ever host, from now until eternity.

That's sad to hear as Czaban was a favorite of mine to listen to when I could. I remember his early morning gig that hooked me on his show some years back.

Fox Sports Radio has made some bad moves in the last year so it wouldn't shock me if he's back with them. Ben Maller was let go last year and is back on late nights on the weekend.

Also... I doubt Fox ever drops Dan Patrick. He's probably their biggest name.

This was one of the few decent show left on FSR. They ruined their line up last year when the got rid of Shawn Farnham and Andrew Siciliano for ******s like Steve Hartman and Petros and Money.

Steven A. Smith is the replacement from what I had heard from my local affilate here. Be prepared to be screamed at first thing in the morning...lol

Yeah, Steven A is replacing him. Been listening to Czab for years on sportstalk 980 here in DC. You might not agree with his politics but his thoughts are always refreshing and unpredictable which is the complete opposite of his partner Andy Polin for his other show. His chemistry with Scott was wwas incredible and I'll always remember the funny texts they used to get in, "From the 301..."

I am curious as to what happened, if it was an amicable split as his letter implied, why didn't he come back to do the show at lease one more time?

Does anyone in the DC area know if the time slot of his local show got moved? That is the only thing I could think of.

I don't know if I will listen to Stephen A. or not. For the most part he does a good job, his shows the last couple of days have been decent, but I am not that big of an NBA fan and the impression I get is that once football is over, that is where a decent amount of the discussions will lead.

I loved Czaban because he mixed in as much hockey talk as he could get away with.

In case anyone didn't know, his show is now back on but it's now on Sporting News Radio and it's from 6am-10am Monday-Friday.

Happy to report Stephen A's show was cancelled though.
