Any Sprint users?

I was curious if this was possible:

I am stuck in a two year agreement with a phone I really don't like anymore. My brother is going to sell his phone soon and I want his phone.

Can I go into sprint and ask them to switch all of information to his phone? And if I can what happens to my plan..Does it restart to 2 years or am I still in my current contract?

Someone else will correct me here if Im wrong but cant you just swap sim cards and be done with it? I was under the impression that everything is saves to your sim card and if thats the case then it wouldnt make a difference.

Nextel/Sprint hasn't used sim cards for a couple of years I believe. When Nextel was alone they had sim cards, but I think when they merged they got rid of them.

I have Sprint but never bothered to look if mine had a sim card or not. What does it save everything to then?

Maybe the nextel phones still have them...I haven't had one for awhile though. The one I currently have is a Sprint.

Same here, Ive got a blackberry through Sprint. I just assumed mine had a sim card. I wouldnt think it would alter your contract in anyway but I dont have first hand knowledge of this either so you would probably be better off calling them and getting an exact answer.

No, switching the phone out will not affect your service plan at all. Just go to the sprint store and they'll move all your info over to your brothers phone for you really easily.

Really? Thats what I have heard but I have a hard time believing it..I guess the phone is used but getting my brothers for dirt cheap instead of getting a new 2 year plan and this phone is an extremely good deal.

Yep. Its totally cool to swap phones. Sprint doesn't care.
