RIP, he was a local legend here in DC, especially for those of us that did not have ESPN back in the day.

I loved the Sports Machine and the Saturday night shows he had for basketball and football; he was definitely ahead of his time. A true legend; he'll be missed. RIP
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Yep, when I was a kid and we didn't have cable I always looked forward to the SportsMachine after the local news on Sundays.

        RIP.

Me and my brother also watched Sports Machine every Sunday night before bed. There is good and bad with the way sports news is presented today. The bad is not having shows like Sports Machine around anymore.

Wow sad to hear... r.i.p. ...
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...
