burning to dvd VS. blu-ray discs
Hi, when creating a slideshow or movie, will the quality be different upon playback when watching on dvd or blu-ray? I do have a 1080p tv, and i do have a blu ray player. I just want to know if it is worth my time to buy blu ray disks if the quality will be the same upon viewing the finished prouct.Tags: None -

Not sure of your answer, but happened across this via Slickdeals.net. Not sure how long it's going to last:

Re: burning to dvd VS. blu-ray discs
So do you have a Blu-ray burner? If no then the question is moot.
Anyway, yes the PS3 can read a BD-R, but it (like most players) is picky about some of the details.
As was said, if it looks better is completely dependent on the source video, but IMO the difference between high quality DVD and Blu-ray video isn't extremely significant, the real difference is in the audio. Personally I would either go DVD (mostly because BD-Rs are going to cost you 5xs as much as a quality DVDR) or just use an external HDD.Comment
