I bought an ASUS WL-520GU wireless router based on most of the reviews I've read, with the intention of setting it up w/Tomato firmware.
I've now spent over 3 HRs and still cannot get the wireless connection established.
I looked thru about 3 "how-to" install guides which were like 20 steps long, telling me to do the 30-30-30 hard rest thingy, etc. I tried doing one of them which wasn't working out so I started looking down another avenue.
I've downloaded both the factory firmware, DD-Wart and Tomato and now I think the thing is shot b/c I can't do anything. I finally found a simple install guide: http://www.society9.com/an-easy-guid...he-asus-520gu/ but when I went to the router site for Tomato it wouldn't let me login which is where I'm at now.
What do I do now? I thought I was pretty technologically savvy but that's notion and thinking left my house a couple of hours ago never to be seen again. I know that routers can be bricked, becoming useless so is that what I've done?
