    The Horror Movies Thread

Any big horror movie fans in here? I personally like Japanese horror movies myself... those Japanese really know how to scare ya! I'll start it off with Ju-On the White Lady:

That's only part 1 out of 6 so just click through it.

    WHOA!

Those first ten minutes are creepy as hell, man! You know, there is a fault with American movies, and it doesn't all have to do with it being Hollywood-ized. The fact of the matter is, the Japanese are just scary in general! I'm serious... the nature of the places, hearing the different language, etc. makes it all darker and scarier on its own. Case in point, have the exact same footage but with American actors and in English, and it's just not as scary.

But I'm already flipped out! Time to watch more.

Glad I could find someone to appreciate scary movies with me.

I'm always freaked out, and I always get paranoid more than I probably should... I always expect that my mind will play games and I'll start seeing the lady myself! When I think of "scary movies", I don't think Saw or no wack-*** Paranormal Activity! I think Ju-On, Ringu, all Japanese horror movies... I think PA was just a ripoff of the Blair Witch Project - and that movie was really the one that scared the **** out of me... until I found out it was fake. But still... as a kid watching that, thinking it was real... PHEW!!!

        Damn, that was pretty gripping.

As good and scary as it was though, it was rather short, and nothing more than a flashback of the current, being scene after scene of scares. Not bad, but it wasn't a typical movie style where there was a distinct beginning, middle, and end. Just... occurring events.

That's kind of how I want to watch my Grudge movies, though. I don't care much for resolution, just for scares. And holy crap did it scare me. I kind of don't want to sleep right now.
