I've seen loads of copies at my Best Buy and pretty cheap as well ($15). Maybe in Canada we got it 1st like we did with Sin City last year.

I hope they don't screw it up because when I saw Jaws in HD on cable it didn't look that impressive so hopefully they start from scratch in restoring the picture on Bluray and remaster the audio with a more surround sound presence instead of just porting over the DVD master which I fear.

They can look to Bladerunner as a perfect example on how to do it right in restoring an older movie.

or 2001 or Star Trek TOS Season 1 both were amazing restorations (at least in terms of video)

I agree with Saving Private Ryan for sure. Pretty much any pixar movie that isn't bluray needs to be.

Any epic movies like LOTR and Star Wars for sure.

Not a movie but it erks me that Soprano's season 1 and season 6 are bluray but no other seasons. I haven't watched this show but won't start it until I can see them all on bluray.

It got a Canada release only for the Blu-Ray. I believe a 10-year anniversary edition is coming out in March or April for Blu-Ray.

Movies I want in my Blu-Ray collection:
                      Rounders
I spy (Owen Wilson, Eddie Murphy)
                      Seattle Pilots GM (2011 - ) Record: 152 - 195

And I will sit in the theater, among the 10 year olds, enjoying every second of Toy Story goodness.

I'm still kicking myself for not getting to the theater and seeing Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D.

I'm a Blu-Ray fan, but you're doing yourself a disservice by not watching it as soon as you get the chance.
