Exactly. This movie isn't dumbed down. It's kind of in your face, figure this out for yourself. The ending is crazy to me, too. Sad and badass at the same time.

              Re: The Hurt Locker

I thought it was a good movie and was very well done. But I hated the main character. His arrogance and cocky attitude and disobeying orders annoyed me. Like when he snuck off base and went alone into Iraq at night? And then when he returns nothing happens to him once the guards let him through. And he put his team in danger more than once. That didn't rub well for me but other then that was a good movie. I could never do that job imagine being face to face with a bomb.

                  Re: The Hurt Locker

I thought it was an entertaining movie...

...the only thing I could think about while watching the film is how horrible it must be for all of our soldiers...I'm sure its NOTHING like it really is over there, but that's all I could think about while watching it. So, basically I got depressed and didn't enjoy it. Don't get me wrong, I love action / war films, but it just hit a tiny nerve that made me feel sorry for everyone over there and know how fortunate I am for being here.

This movie was amazing probably my favorite war movie since full metal jacket. I rented it then after I ordered it on Amazon.

One of the better war flicks I have seen in a long time. I def. give it a solid 9.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I finally got around to watching it last night even though I've had the Blu Ray since release. I thought it was an excellent film, even if a tad predictable. I have to add though, on a sports-gaming website, I couldn't have been the only one to notice the big continuity error when Eldridge was playing 360 even though the film takes place in 2004, right?

To be honesty, I didn't notice that at all.

I guess I was a bit more immersed in the film for that to even register.
