Need a Name For a Potential TV Series I am Writing

Hey guys,

I am almost done finishing a pilot script for a tv series I will be pitching to an agent. Everything came to me so easily thus far, but if I have one Achilles' heel it is that I cannot for the life of me think of a series name that looks good or flows together organically! I was wondering if you guys could help me as much as you can (throwing out names that sound or look good to you).

Now obviously you must know what it's about if you're gonna name it. I unfortunately can't go into real specifics of the premise (it has not yet been copywrited), but I will say it is a high school based comedy revolving around a somewhat anhedonic teenage main character. Quite frankly, I am not sure giving information really helps, as many titles of shows sound way more memorable than they do reveal anything about the show itself (ex: a Curb Your Enthusiasm for instance). Any help would be much appreciated.

Yeah man i appreciate htat. I'm trying to imagine all these titles in my head and whether they can develop into something, whether if I saw that name late at night on the channel glide I'd be inclined to click, etc. I know that title is generally used as a particular classification of schizophrenia. I think like there are positive symptoms (visual hallucinations) and negative symptoms which are the ones that are harder to pinpoint. Feel free to give me as many as you want as I am reviewing them over in my head. I appreciate your response bro.

The "Meh" makes is au currant and the "Cronicles" is a pop culture play on that female "Terminator" charater, which this kid is obviously the antithesis of...

And come to think of it "Meh" is quite the opposite of "Glee", isn't it?

Just go with "Hard To Please". It's simple, straightforward, catchy, accurate, and non-binding, meaning if the show "evolves" into a different age group (goes to college from HS, or into the work force) it's not going to alter the name of the show.

It's also a bit of a double entendre. The guy is anhedonic, meaning he doesn't really gain pleasure right? Well, use your imagination--if something's "hard", you "please"...ah, whatever. LOL.

Just go with "Hard To Please". It's simple, straightforward, catchy, accurate, and non-binding, meaning if the show "evolves" into a different age group (goes to college from HS, or into the work force) it's not going to alter the name of the show.

Thanks for the idea man. I dunno, this is definitely the hardest part of the process (no pun). When you are a nobody, essentially everything you are doing has to be calculated in order garner the most attention and appreciation towards your material. In other words, if I'm trying to pitch something I will have to hit several right buttons in order for the agent to even read the damn thing (they pass over hundreds of things a day without even reading them). This is why having such a catchy and good title is so important. I have faith once my material is read I will be set. Getting that to happen is perhpas the hardest process that requires good salesman qualities.
