Two more Fast and Furious movies

UK, January 12, 2010 - Get ready for two more Fast & Furious movies, according to franchise star Vin Diesel.

On the action man's Facebook page, Vin said: "If 2009's Fast & Furious was chapter one, what writer Chris Morgan just delivered is chapter 2 and chapter 3."

He went on: "I have never been submitted a two story saga from a studio before... it is very exciting, and shows a commitment level that is hard not to respond to."

He doesn't go into specifics about the plots, but seems to think that the F & F franchise will go into a more character-driven direction. "[They will have a] novel-like story, that has twists and unexpected turns that is authentic and truthful and challenging to the characters."

Don't they know that the series started off as car porn, why do we need more character development? We need more cars not more characters yelling at each other

I figured there had to be at least one more. I thought Fast & Furious was a total bust after about the 40 minute mark.

As long as Justin Lin doesn't direct this one, I'll be a little bit happier in general. I would prefer they stuck to stunt driving whenever possible and try to limit the CGI this time around.

Nevertheless, I'm in it for the long haul. What can I say? I like the series.

Yeah just what we need......more street racing.....I wouldnt mind if they went back to Japan for my drift racing though with tons of hot asian chicks in it.

Although the Tokyo Drift one did have super hot asian chicks in it.

i dont mind popcorn flicks, they are ok. Just give me crazy driving and i am entertained. I did like Tokyo drift as well, them chicks were hot and asian women arent usually my thing, but damn, hot is hot. lol

I like the Fast and Furious movies but I hated Tokyo Drift. That one was horrible. I liked the last one that came out the best.

They just cast the main character terribly. He sucks in every movie though so maybe I am biased.

Yeah, I don't mind the first one for what it is.

Second one was ****ing terrible.

Third one was, aside from the terrible acting of the main character, actually enjoyable (though, I'm a Nissan fan so seeing some of those Z's was awesome).

Still haven't seen the fourth.

I was watching the fourth one last night again and I actually like this franchise, just didn't care too much for the second one. I wouldn't mind seeing Lucas Black comes back for the fifth or sixth film along with the original cast. These aren't brain surgery type of films and something mindless to sit back and enjoy.

The first one and the 3rd one's are the only watchable ones to me. The 2nd one is atrocious in every way, and the most recent one was just ridiculous all the way through that it actually took me watching it 3 times to make it through the entire movie, I'd always shut it off or fall asleep. Never been so happy to throw a movie back to Netflix. LOL

I am a little confused, is F&F now a label like National Lampoons or is it going the Friday the 13th route of millions of progressively worse sequels.
