Yeah i find odd stuff here and there about the stuff I describe. But yes they could have a team investigating most of this stuff. Look at Jesse Ventura's new show, they investigate conspiracies each week by doing research, interviews, going to sites, etc. For things like time travel, yeah they couldn't go time travel but they could research it, discuss it, maybe interview scientists about it, etc.

In a way Paranormal state is somewhat like this, they investigate things other than ghosts (Jersey Devil, Chucabra (sp) come to mind), i'd just like to have them expand it a little bit.

But how would that be different form documentaries that already interview experts, have diagrams of the theories, show places of origin, etc? Staying true to the title of this thread, I think it would be redundant at this point.

It wouldn't be redundant to have it all tied into one show with one team exploring various topics. Right now what you speak of is on tv only in various specials and one-time type documentaries.

Watch the history and Science channel, documentaries or shows on astrophysical/ supernatural phenomenon play least 4-7 times a day, essentially 7 days a week. Hardly a one time deal.

I think you're missing my point though, I would like to see one group, on one show, consistently explore these various paranormal phenomena. All of these different shows you speak of I watch but they are not tied together. Also, most of these shows are not hosted by anyone but rather just voiced over and provides a potpourri of facts and videos, with no insight or analysis by a panel.

Sure it lets you draw your own conclusions but it also doesn't provide you with alternate viewpoints that you may not have thought of yourself.

I get your point, and I don't think such a show is necessary at this point in the game. The only way such a show would be interesting would be with a twist, such as Penn and Teller's Bs. They do all the things your "show" describes, but looks at it through the eyes of a skeptic and not a team of losers who act tough and then pee their pants when they feel a draft like Fresh so eloquently put it.

Your typical Paranormal show nowadays goes like this.......

1. This is an EMF reader and they go on for several minutes talking about it.

2. This is a digital voice recorder, I will place several around the property.

3. All the team members go into seperate rooms with their own camcorder, pretending to be overly curious about the place they are at.

4. You always have one chicken crap in the group and one tough guy in the group and they always be paired together.

5. The tough guy iin the group always get to shouting demanding the spirit to show themselves or touch him.

6. Wind blows or camera man trips over his cord and the tough guy takes off running and screaming like a little girl.

7. You always have team members say did you see something or hear that no less then 3 times a show.

8. At the end, they rarely ever have anything caught on tape or audio. But yet they always claim they seen or heard about 5 or 6 things that night that just so happen not get recorded on tape or audio.

Ofcourse, and if they actually DO get anything on camera, it is something easily staged just like Chris Angel and his loaded audiences. Whole thing is lame unless you are watching it for comedic value.

I don't know the names of the shows, but I enjoy that one dude with the steroids, bad hair and tight shirts. That's a funny dude.

Yeah I could see Guy from Diners and Dives doing a show like that. Cook by day, Paranormal investigator at night. Paranormal Chefs.....now on Food Network. LOL

LOL @ Gotmadskillzon post!! However, the very fact that not much really happens on a lot of these paranormal ghost hunting shows actually lends credibility IMO to when something does happen. And if you watch them enough you will occasionally see things that are unexplainable.

Yeah, but most of them have been exposed as being fake already, so that kind of takes the credibility away. The one with the Penn State kids, the one with the steroids/badhair/tight shirts, and a few more.
