Saw this today, really enjoyed it. Denzel is the man and probably the greatest actor I'll see in my lifetime.

Re: The Book of Eli
Liked it alot.
SpoilerDidn't like the end though where she took the machette and his bag and stuff. It seemed a bit too cheesy.Comment

Re: The Book of Eli
Same here Vince.
Spoiler
It makes sense that she would go back, but the way it was handled just feel too contrived and cheesy. Other then that, I thought this movie was great.

Re: The Book of Eli
Like I said in another thread, I only went to see Denzel and I didn't even think that it would be that great but I loved the movie. I can't wait to see it again.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I was really looking forward to it and then the negative reviews started streaming in, but I thought it was fantastic.Comment

Re: The Book of Eli
I just saw finished watching this tonight. The other night I watched the first hour, I started to think it wasn't that great and I fell asleep. As I finished watching the movie.. I began to love it.
In fact, I really loved this movie. I'm planning on watching it again through the entire movie just to make sure I didn't miss anything.Comment

Re: The Book of Eli
I'll probably wait until its on DVD. Until I read some of the reviews, I was thinking I wanted to go see it in the theater.
The review in NYC taxis nailed it as far as everyone's review here. "If you are a fan of Denzel, you could watch him read the phone book and love it. Others will find this slow, long, and boring. Without Denzel, this movie doesn't get made." As long as you don't expect to see no stop action, it looks ok.Comment

Re: The Book of Eli
Yeah, its not like Denzel's performance is leaps and bounds above everyone else's. I would say Oldman's is just as good.
