His best work is probably behind him and not because he's not good anymore. Extras and The Office UK would be difficult to top.

Surprised to hear that because people over at EW.com seem to think he bombed.

So Cameron is likely headed to a Best Film and Best Director Oscar award with the way he and his film handled The Globes.

I'm disappointed as I thought "The Hurt Locker" was the clear Best Drama of the Year, but I'm not exactly surprised.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

See Ghost Town. I watched most of Invention of Lying, but Ghost Town is far and away a great showcase for Gervais.

I went in and out,and the parts that I saw, I thought he did well on.

Though he really wasn't giving much time to do much.

The jab he took at NBC/Leno, I enjoyed.

The Mel Gibson joke was solid.
Don't you EVER read my blog? It's gotten a lot better.

              Avatar as Best Drama Picture

I had the WTF face when Jeff Bridges won. I put $10 (yes I even bet on the Golden Globes, I think I have a minor gambling problem......) down on Clooney because I thought it was basically a lock he would win.

I thought Gervais was a solid host. He had a couple of really funny jokes although he went overboard on the shameless plugging. It was only funny the first and second time.

It's a travesty that Curb Your Enthusiasm wasn't nominated for Best Comedy Series. What makes it worse is that Glee won and Modern Family didn't.

Agreed Ghost Town is a great movie. I thought Gervais was a great host that Mel Gibson joke was priceless.

Yeah, I did, even if it didn't sound like it. I also wanted and got Michael C Hall to finally win.
I noticed Lithgow tearing up when Michael C Hall won.
UPDATE: I didn't realize that Michael C Hall is being treated for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. MCH

After seven Golden Globe/Oscar nominations without a win, I thought Bridges was the favorite. Gervais was good, but brief-it's like he didn't have a lot to do.

oh by the way The Hangover won

I thought Gervaise bombed too. I've seen him better and I thought with the show being live that he'd be a bit better.

Obviously I'm fine with it because I loved Avatar. But did anyone else find it funny when they showed the reactions of all the other nominees and I don't know, it just looked like they were all pissed that Avatar beat them haha. Maybe it was just me. But I'm glad Avatar won.
