    Michael Jackson: Billie Jean

    I was watching the video, and truthfully, i have no clue what the video means. My brother claims in the video he's suppose to be an angel which is why he has no reflection and where ever he steps lights up; however that makes no sense with the theme of the song....


    Any thoughts?

      i just know the kid is not my son..

      i take it as some chick wants mike, she claims he is the one. but she is not his lover!! causes a scene and people look as to if they wish they were the one instead of mike.

          It's vampires who dont have reflections, not angels.

          Anyways i always assumed it was about being served with a paternity suit and the guy following him was an investigator.
          As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

              I told him the say, but he insisted that its because either way he's not suppose to be a normal person in the video.

              I clearly understand what the song means, this girl claims she has his child etc etc, but the video isn't anything like that, it's completely different from the song.

              Why is it everything he touched lit up? again no one could really see him and at the end he vanished

                  I always just assumed that the light-up squares are the performance part of the video. They don't have anything to do with the story being told.

                                              Some people make simple music, but the ones that are great have deeper meanings in their songs and videos. Most of Micheal's music had deep messages in them similar to old famous poets. There may not be one simple answer to this question.

                                                      We know what the song is about. Especially based on what his brothers went through and then, eventually himself with one extremely crazed fan. Wanna Be Startin' Something is my fave with a deep meaning in it.

                                                      But the OP is talking about the actual video's meaning. Daflyboys said read Red Badge of Courage, which I did back in freshman year of HS, so I'm kinda fuzzy on that.
