Re: T-Mobile Android phones
A guy on craigslist is offering me 150 for the G1. I think that sounds like a good deal, as long as everything checks out of course. Anyone had any experiences buying phones off of craigslist?Favorite Teams:

Re: T-Mobile Android phones
Remove the G1 off the bat, it's the weakest one of the three. I had the MyTouch for about a month before i gave it to my dad and got the Cliq. The benefit of the Cliq is that it has a keyboard which helps a lot and it has more ram which makes the operating system run faster.I'm looking to get a new phone, currently have a Blackberry Curve and want to purchase an Android phone. My choices are the Motorola Cliq, Tmobile G1, or the myTouch 3g. They are listed from least expensive to most. Sucks I have to pay full price but I want a new phone.
I was wondering if anyone has one of these and can vouch for which is the best one.
However the Mytouch is just a nicer sleeker phone. It has also received an update, i think android 1.5 which allows for it's GPS system to speak and show pictures of it's destination and helps out the batter life as well.
With the Cliq, it has Motorblurr which ties in all your accounts to one service. Currently i have my twitter and facebook account linked up to it as well as my contacts. So when someone sends me a text or calls me, their facebook picture pops up as well as their last comment. You could put Myspace on there as well. It's a cool feature that ties everything to your home screen. At first it may be a bit of a clutter, but you get used to it and are able to move things around since there are 5 screens instead of 3 like my Mytouch.
If your a person whose always on facebook and loves his/her networking sites, then go for the Cliq, if you just want a nice android phone with a sleek design and customizable, then go for the MyTouch.
In terms of the apps, don't worry, everything runs off the android operating system, the app store is huge. And because it is one system, the apps work on all the phones for the most part. Yes some have some unique apps, but most are cross overs when it comes to the android operating systems.
Don't worry about applications, whatever apps the iphone has, you can bet yourself you can find something very similar on the android app. There are tons and tons of them, something for everyoneLast edited by marshallfever; 01-28-2010, 10:28 PM.Comment

Re: T-Mobile Android phones
I've bought a few phones off of CL. Just make sure that you take your time playing/examining the device. Also, do your research on the devices and make sure that it does what it's supposed to do. I have had only good experiences on CL (I believe in human decency lol)
EDIT: I also agree with Marshall on the fact that the G1 is the weaker of all the Android devices because it was the first phone to come out. You should be able to snag a mytouch for around 180-200 if you look hard enough. To me, that would be the better buy. Still, the G1 is a very capable phone.Last edited by ScoobySnax; 01-28-2010, 11:33 PM.PSN: xxplosive1984Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you.
