    iTunes/iPod Help: Playlists

Okay, so I'm slightly new to everything iSomething. Just recently been tooling with iTunes on my CPU and got an iPod last month and was wondering if there is a way to create iTunes playlists and use them in other programs/mp3 players?

For instance, I use a Samsung T9 mp3 player for running/gym because it's small & durable as opposed to my 30GB+ bulky iPod but I'm not able to find a way to use playlists for both. It's a pain creating a playlist for one piece of hardware only to have to go in and replicate it for another. Is there anyway to use one playlist "file" for dual hardware?

    EDIT:
The Samsung came with proprietary software for media management but I simply use Window Media Player as my sync. If that helps at all....
