Recommend me a laptop to replace my desktop.

I am looking at replacing my desktop with a laptop. I would like for the laptop to have over 150GB HD, two GB or better system memory, a form of word/access/excel, some gaming of course.

I am not sure what else I may need. I do not do an enormous amount of downloading, at least not now. And I want to keep the price under 1K if possible.

Those Macbooks look really tempting. I have had my eyes on them even though they are a little over 1K, they seem very well thought out and built. Are there any comparable or even better systems out?

I am willing to wait a little if something better is around the corner too. Thanks.

Man, I know they are expensive, but go with a Mac! They are so great. No viruses, they work very well, they hardly freeze up, the customer service I have received is outstanding, getting more than one thing replaced although out of warranty.

    That's what I'd suggest.
