He finally wishes for everything to go back to normal, and once hes in his shop he actually falls onto his fixed window, breaking it.
The actual name of that episode is The Man In The Bottle and it is from the second season.

Fun fact: the man who played the genie in that episode (Joseph Ruskin) was also the voice of the Kanamits in To Serve Man.

I've never really watched this show before; but I always knew what it was.

I've watched a few episodes on cbs's site and the stories are pretty neat, but sometimes the acting makes it hard to watch; it's just so cheesy and over dramatic at times.

I'm not trying to come off as pretentious or condescending or anything like that, it's just that I have been watching this show for over 20 years and for some reason have absorbed more useless information about it than ever I cared to! I have had the entire series on Columbia House VHS tapes for over 15 years and the entire series on DVD for nearly 10 years. Hell, I even double dipped and picked up the Definitive Edition DVDs when they came out 4-5 years ago too. I'd venture to say that I have seen every episode somewhere between 10-20 times. I also used to post on the most active Twilight Zone forum online quite regularly (when I left that forum I had the fourth most total posts there ever, somewhere around 7,000 or so) but quit posting there over a year ago due to some serious hypocrisy going on, but that's another story. So needless to say, yes, I know a little bit about TZ!

Acting affects people in different ways so I'm not going to tell you you're wrong but for me, I see it as a period thing. There was a way to act when the Twilight Zone was running its course and I always just accepted that the actors were performing as they were taught to perform.

Now, I will agree that there are times when an actor will just push something way over the top. I can already picture moments in my head when an actor would just take a step or two toward the camera, eyes bugged out, and scream or issue a fearful warning. I guess it can be funny and over dramatic.

But the Twilight Zone is definitely about the stories and more importantly, the human condition. Serling found a way to say so much about the way people think through science fiction stories. It's amazing, really.

Which episodes have you seen so far?

Serious questions: Did you watch the series when it aired and were you old enough to remember watching it?

Absolutely not! The original series aired from 1959-1964 and I was born in 1980. However, I have discussed the show in great detail literally hundreds of times with many, many folks that have in fact been watching the show since its initial run on television some 50 years ago.

The first season of NG (including the pilot movie) was awesome. The second season was hit or miss. The third season was total garbage. Jack Laird basically muscled Serling out of any part of the show other than hosting duties midway through the second season and it adversely effected the quality of the series. There are, however, several episodes of NG that stack up just as well as some of the best TZ episodes of all time. The Caterpillar and The Sins Of The Fathers are the first two that come to mind.

As do I, just in a different direction.

And the Willoughby in the episode is a fictitious name of a fictitious town. If you ever saw the episode you would understand why.

Willoughby, Ohio was officially named "Willoughby" in 1835. The TZ episode in question aired in 1960, over 125 years too late.
