Lol, its nuts that that type of knowledge will get your *** kicked in some parts of the world and get you laid in others. Discrepancy is of the most importance. If I could transform your twilight zone knowledge into some sort of socially acceptable niche then I actually would be proud to be bragging.

There are, however, several episodes of NG that stack up just as well as some of the best TZ episodes of all time. The Caterpillar and The Sins Of The Fathers are the first two that come to mind.
Agreed. I remember people being stoked that another Serling series a la TZ was happening and the pilot minisodes were great. I'm not sure if it was called "The Doll", something like that, but I remember it scared the crap out of me as a kid and recently viewed it again.... still creepy.

I always thought the opening segment to the TZ movie was pretty cool and the episodes did the original series justice.

I grew up, got married, and my wife birthed in Willoughby. My kids are 100 percent Willoughbian in blood. You all can try to out Willough me, hell you might even win, but I'll be damned if you attempt to disservice my children.

I've always got TZ eps on my DVR and watch about 3 or 4 a week. My favorite is the one where the monks had some guy locked up who they said was the Devil but the guy swore to a visitor there that he wasn't and begged him to be released. I won't go into what happened since some of you may not have seen it but it was one of the most memorable episodes of TZ I think ever. Phenomenal!

The episode in question is The Howling Man starring John Carradine, father of the recently deceased David Carradine. The Howling Man is one of the most "black and white" episodes of TZ in terms of the hardcore modern day fans opinions of it. Half of the modern day fans love it, while the other half despise it. I, however, fall into an extreme minority regarding this episode, as I think it is somewhere near the middle of the pack in terms of overall quality.

I love Twilight Zone and Night Gallery. 2 awesome Serling shows!

I also have every TZ ever. 60's, 80's, and 00's.

I've watched all of them plenty of times.

TZ IS my fave show of all time. No joke.

                        Re: Twilight Zone Thread

I had a Twilight Zone esque thought the other night drifting off to bed looking at the weather outside my window with the concept of cabin fever on the mind. It was a snow storm and some woman was overly covered up in snow gear, hiding her face. It is assumed she is hiding her disfigurement and was thus a hermit and wanted noone to visit her. To keep them all out she built this extravagant fence like thing. Because her creation was so beautiful it became publicized and she became a local celebrity of sorts, with the media ironicallly hounding her all because of the thing she created to keep them out. At the end she realizes she cannot hide fom humanity, and goes outside where reporters are houding her. She takes off her gear and hat, and reveals it. She has snakes for hair, she is in fact medusa. We see the reporters turn to stone. In an ironic twist we realize, she wasn't a hermit to save herself from people, she was a hermit to save people for herself. Cue Rod Serling outro.

That sounds like something Rod would have come up with, good job!!

I agree btw that this is one of the best series ever made. It's certainly one of my favorite. The style of writing is what I did in college as well, short stories with twists like Adam's above is what I really enjoyed writing.
