Since netflix is launching original conent soon with David Finchers House of Cards, maybe they should try to pick up shows like HTMIIA.

That would really stick it to HBO.

LOL. I wish I could. The show doesnt have the cult following and/or critical praise that would allow HBO or any other network to pick it up. Its also not a cheap show to film (on location in NY isnt cheap no matter what you are paying the actors).

Also, the ratings were low. HBO made a huge mistake by not running this after the final season of Entourage. I think it would've held a good number of the audiance from that show because the shows attract a similar demo.

As for it running on Netflix, I doubt that too. Arrested Development was brought back to life by NF but that show has a HUGE cult following.

I have the whole series of How To Make It In America but I've only watched the pilot.

Based on the terrible ratings, there was no chance HBO was going to renew it. HTMIIA was given a prime schedule slot and it still bombed.
I wouldnt say that. It followed Hung which was never a popular show. Hung had a prime slot because it followed Boardwalk Empire.

Has there been a show before thats been cancelled and picked up by another network?
Scrubs moved from NBC to ABC. Different Strokes did also. Doesnt happen often.

            Wait... this is getting cancelled?!

This show is great. I kind of discovered a few months ago and it really filled my Entourage void due to the mediocre-ness of the last few seasons.

            So disappointing.

How To Make It In America, the HBO show that followed a group of ambitious 20-somethings trying to make a name for themselves in Manhattan, was canceled last month after a brief two-season-run. But, according to executive producer Mark Wahlberg, it might not be over for our boys just yet.

In an interview with GQ, Wahlberg discussed the future of the prematurely-axed show. "The wheels are always turning," Wahlberg said. "We've talked to the networks and we may pair it up with another network. You know, you can only have so many shows on the air [at HBO], but we're talking about putting it elsewhere."

So, yes, that means there is a chance we might get to see Domingo (Kid Cudi), Cam (Victor Rasuk), Ben (Bryan Greenberg), and Kappo (Eddie Kaye Thomas) do their city hustle on another network. It's a small chance, but we're clinging to the possibility.

I will forever stop calling Mark Walhberg Marky Mark if he does this.

I would think showtime would be the only other network to keep it all the same.
