    That 90's Thread

Thought it would be cool to start a thread to lounge around and loosely discuss all the great things about the 90's. Tv shows, Snick, Slap Bracelets, Tamagachi's, Fruit Stripe gum, whatever you want to say about the crazy awesome decade, here is your thread to discuss.

My favorite Nick shows- Are You Afraid of the Dark, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Nick Arcade, Salute Your Shorts.

    Favortie candies/Drinks- Warheads, Koolaid Bursts.

    Worst Fad- Jynko jeans.

Fav commercial- Let's see we got soda, purple stuff, and SUNNY EFFIN D.

And remember, if you have been drinking all day it is best you don't post your grandmothers underwear shopping list in this thread. This has been Lory Beth Denberg with vital information for your everyday life.

Where did you go- RL Stine, Alex Mack (You're hot, come back. We would accept you!).

Redhead hall of shame- Ferguson, Budnick, Pete and Pete.

90's = best decade ever. I wish it would've just went back to 1990 on 12/31/99.

For real. Hopefully on December 21 2012 that will become a reality and we will wake up the next day with "You Can't do that on television" on our tv and a Guns and Roses song blasting through the radio. Turn around and our mom has shoulder pads underneath her shirt and dad and sis are trying to configure the brand new 8 bit NES. Even the mayans knew the 90's were GOAT.

That would make me feel like I was in the 80's. Now the SNES, that would make it feel like the 90's.

Good point. For some reason I was thinking it was released in 1992 and not 1990. Regardless, Mario World was the first thing I popped in and when we got Mario All Stars free in the mail (my parents filled out the thing that camer with out system) I thought it was a gift from the mailman for like 2 months. I went back to the box everyday thinking we would get another game.

Actually I think you might be right. I'm pretty sure the SNES didn't come out in 1990, not in the US anyways. I was just saying the NES would make it feel like the 80's to me, as they are what I think of when I think of the NES.

ahh, the 90's great time to be a teenager in. I loved it. Some if it is a bit clouded if ya know what i mean. lol Did some good things, did some way bad things.

The parties we had were awesome let me tell you. I live in Central California and if anyone is from around here, you know that if you live in a city or town, you drive anywhere in any direction for 15 or more minutes your in the country. Well, we used to have big old parties on ranches with the cowboys. Cowboys and Mexicans partying it up in huge barns. No one to shut anything down. Great times.

ONe party we were at, it was at some big ole house. Some rich chicks house, lol well, friends get drunk and like to wrestle and one of my friends got upstairs and did Super Macho Man Randy Savage off the top onto the couch and broke the chicks couch right in half. lol She cried a little bit. I just remember i couldnt stop laughing.

                  Re: That 90's Thread

Ah man the 90's my favorite time. Everything was so innocent then. I lived in a world growing up with the same routine. The summers were the greatest. Wake up eat you favorite sugary cereal, then watch your favorite cartoons. Nickelodeon was the thing back then. So many great cartoons. Rocko's Modern Life, Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, Hey Arnold!. and Snick was the ish. Are you afraid of the Dark, the Original All That, and my favorite show Kenan and Kel!! Greatest intro ever with Coolio.

Basketball was the thing in the 90's, Michael Jordan was a god, everyone had his jersey, even girls. NBA on NBC was the greatest thing ever made, another incredible intro, with tripleheaders!!

Baseball was at it's peak, and at the time Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa had saved baseball and done the impossible with their homerun race. No one knew anything about steroids at that time.

Everything was so perfect man, I was a young kid and all I did was play in baseball leagues and basketball and go to school. I got more to add to this thread, but the 90's were amazing, Only bad thing I knew about at the time was the OKC bombings, everything else was innocent, Ignorance is Bliss they say...

Greatest Topic of all time on OS, Dayton...

Another thing to add: When Hip Hop was alive and at it's highest level. Tupac, Biggie,Snoop, Dre, Eazy, Coolio, Bone Thugz N Harmony, What happened?

The NBA was off the charts. Can we say Dream Team #1.

In Living Color was a must see show and Married with Children was hitting its stride.

Oh yeah, we also got the PS2 and Dreamcast.
